It depends on too many factors.. where do we draw the line and how much does it cost us to detain and deport. Perhaps have them do community service and set guidelines by which they can stay and get on the path for residency. Perhaps the path requires a lot of steps and is difficult to achieve without working diligently to do so. There has to be more discussion around what we as a country hope to achieve as well as how do we achieve it.
